Rust protection that prolongs the life of your vehicle

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get my car rust proofed?

Krown application process for a small or a medium sized car takes one hour (such as VW Golf, Kia Ceed, Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia, Toyota Yaris). For a van or SUV (vehicle such as Ford Rangler, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200) it takes up to two hours and for a camper up to three hours. You have to book your appointment.

How much does a Krown application of a car cost?

Pricing depends on the size, age and condition of the vehicle.

Can Krown be applied in any weather?

The material can be easily applied to wet surfaces. We access all corrosion-prone areas of your vehicle with specialized tools to ensure complete protection. Nevertheless, it is easier to provide a professional treatment of your car if it is dry. In the case of heavy rain or snow we contact you to book a new appointment or we advise you to bring your car earlier so that the water runs off and the car dries.

Why do you have to drill holes?

Certain areas of vehicle can only be accessed by drilling small holes to key areas. To properly protect the vehicle, these areas need to be accessed using our specialized tool. We drill holes for access to panels for thorough application and to ensure complete protection. All drilled holes are greased and plugged with a specialized grommet and will not rust.

Why does it drip?

The product must get into the seams and around spot welds to work effectively. It is moisture that causes corrosion, so an effective rust inhibitor needs to be thin enough to penetrate anywhere that water can. After the product has penetrated these areas, the excess product drips off. The majority of the dripping occurs within 24-48 hours with very little, if any, dripping after that point. Krown is environmentally-friendly. We advise you to park the vehicle where it can be easily cleaned (tiles, etc.) or where the stains does not bother you, untill they go away (macadam, grass, etc.).

When is the best time of year to have my car rust proofed?

We offer our services all year round. We note that the highest demand is from September till December and at that time you may find you have to wait weeks to get an appointment. A yearly control visit after application is recommended, unless advised differently.

What makes Krown different from other rust protection products?

Some companies use coating products that are designed to cover over areas that are susceptible to rust. These types of coatings can be breached by abrasion or chipping. When this happens, moisture can enter in under the coating and become trapped against the vehicle surface. Krown by comparison is self-healing and is constantly creeping, remaining active to continuously repel moisture and keep it away from the metal surface. Krown penetrates into even the tightest seams and spot welds delivering a much more effective and comprehensive protection. It also lubricates many moving parts on a vehicle such as door locks, brake cables, power antennas, etc.

Is rust protection for old cars only?

Whether your vehicle is new or used, a Krown application will keep the body of the vehicle in great shape, giving vehicle owners the flexibility to keep the vehicle longer or sell it at maximum value. Krown penetrates into even the tightest seams and spot welds delivering a much more effective and comprehensive protection. It also lubricates many moving parts on a vehicle. We recommend you to have your car rust proofed for the first time at least when a car is 3 or 4 years old and after every auto body repair.

Will Krown void my manufacturer's waranty?

Krown will not void any manufacturer's warranty. In fact, some manufacturers recommend it (Hyundai, KIA). Many of our clients tell us, that a certain auto repair shop recommended Krown rust protection and our services to them.
